There’s an interesting subplot in Babygirl that I’m surprised I haven’t seen many critics remark on. And look, I get it- the main plot is Nicole Kidman playing Romy, a powerful tech CEO embarking on a torrid sub-dom affair with Samuel, a tall (overly?) confident intern played by Harris Dickinson who tells her what to do and dances to George Michael. And her character is married to another impossibly hot man, a theater director played with wounded vulnerability by Antonio Banderas. That’s a lot to chew on as is.
